The work of Mollie Burke explores the balance of pressure and levity, overflow and containment, randomness and pattern, through a careful focus on materiality. By combining intentionally crafted objects with randomly collected fragments, her work blends painting, sculpture, and installation to interrogate the environments around us.
Her assemblages - glass, fabric, metal, paint and found fragments - give form to the unseen affective and psychological currents emerging from the invisible and visible architectures that shape daily life.
